Mavis is really passionate about cookie decorating. What I love about her class were: 1) her
selfless sharing of knowledge; 2) her attentiveness to her learners; 3) her clear explanations
and positive affirmations throughout the session; 4) good variety of techniques shared and
manageable tasks; 5) a good instructor to learners ratio. During the class, her passion comes
through and you get to really appreciate the art of royal icing. She is also very prompt and
helpful in troubleshooting any problems you may encounter on your own AFTER the class.
With her guidance, you will definitely be able to decorate cookies successfully and even
evolve to become a better decorator, just like I did! Thank you, Mavis!
I tried making icing cookies on my own but faced all the usual problems a beginner does. I attended Mavis's class and it was marvellous for a total beginner like me. From the recipes
to the baking and decorating processes, Mavis was very generous in her sharing. She guided
us through all the basic cookie decorating techniques. She pointed out areas to take note of
and offered tips to correct mistakes immediately on the spot. Her class was also filled with
her tales of successes and failures, which encouraged me to keep practising. I am very
happy and fortunate to have attended Mavis's class. She prepared me well for the
challenges of the advanced techniques that I picked up from the Internet. I encourage those
seeking a strong foundation in cookie decorating techniques to attend her classes.
It was love at first bite - Mavis’s cookie and me. The cookie was a gift from a friend, decorated with my favorite Pokémon and it was most certainly, too beautiful to eat! After
much admiring, I finally took a bite and words can’t describe the most delicious iced chocolate cookie I had ever tasted. I wanted more! So it was like a dream to find out about Mavis’s cookie decorating class where I learned how to bake and ice these wonderful
cookies. Mavis conducted her class with such care and passion... I attended a second class to relive the enjoyment of the first. Thank you Mavis for introducing your awesome cookies to my life!
My first cookie decorating class conducted by Chef Mavis was interesting and fun. A lot of tips and techniques were shared during the class. Even after the class, she continued to help
me when I faced some issues while decorating cookies on my own. With her guidance and
encouragement, I'll definitely continue decorating cookies for my friends and family!
Mavis is patient, knowledgeable and generous in her willingness to share her expertise. Love
that she gives tips about how to deal with the icing and decorating in our tropical weather.
The class is great fun, and a good way to relax and pick up a new skill. Oh, and the cookies
are yummy!!
My journey of baking and decorating began with Mavis. The class size wasn't too large so
learning was able to take place comfortably. Mavis is such a skilful and encouraging teacher.
I enjoyed attending the class and her cookies not only look awesome, they taste incredible
too! After the class, with LOTS of questions answered by Mavis, I managed make some of

The housewarming cookies were a hit with everyone. My guests and I couldn’t bear
to eat them but when we did, we couldn’t get over how yummy they were. They taste
just like brownies in cookie form! Some of my guests couldn’t get over the tiny little
details on the cookies too. I can see and taste the love you have for your craft and

I enlisted Mavis’s help for a private cookie-decorating party for my family, to celebrate my
niece’s 7th birthday. Because I reside overseas, we had to coordinate the details of the party
via email. Mavis was very helpful and her attention to detail showed her experience with
these events. She worked with me to pick out the theme and colours that my niece was
into. When my family and I showed up on the day of the event, Mavis had the room set up
ready to start, with our individual work areas organised and prepped so we could focus on
the decorating. My niece was over-the-moon happy with her unicorn, cupcake, rainbow and
star cookies!.

Cookie Jamming
I was thrilled to attend my first cookie decorating party. I used different decorating
techniques and created Rab Bunny cookies with different facial expressions. I love the ones
with anime eyes. I enjoyed it very much and can't wait to go again. The cookies were
yummy too!
